Where is Deià?
Deià is located in the northwestern side of the Sierra
of Tramuntana. It is the fifth smallest town council of Mallorca, with a surface
of 15.11 km2. It has a population of 840 inhabitants (2004), with a density below
the average of most municipalities on the island. Deià borders Sòller,
Bunyola, Valldemossa and the sea.
A winding road leads to Deià
from Palma, bordering the coast after crossing Valldemossa.
The same road that leads to Deià follows up to Llucalcari
and Sòller. It is possible to get to Deià easily
by car, motorbike or bus.
